Knauf is a family-owned group of companies that manufactures building materials globally and employs more than 26,500 people across the world. The UK business was founded in 1988, but the Knauf Group dates back to 1932 when brothers Karl and Alfons Knauf started mining gypsum deposits in Germany. The UK business began in 1988 when the Knauf Group built a plasterboard factory in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Two years later, they opened a second plasterboard plant in North East Lincolnshire. In 2013 Knauf opened a striking modernist-inspired building known as The Cube – an innovative training, visitor and administrative centre. And, most recently, in 2018 they launched the Knauf Clerkenwell showroom in London. Knauf are one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of lightweight building products and systems.

PAS Safe Solutions own the sole UK rights for an innovative product which is made in Eastern Europe which means a trickle vent can be fitted in 6 minutes without drilling or damaging the UPVC frame. The product is tested to BE EN 13141-1 and is therefore compliant under Part F Building Regulations and PAS2030: 2019.

The guys that make this found similar issues in Europe and very cleverly developed a solution which involved a great deal of trial and error and testing but which is now sold all over the world. They’re also working with us on new and other innovative solutions which we believe will be just right for ECO. Watch this space!

Nuaire’s exceptional on the ground and back-office teams apply their superior technical expertise to understand their customers’ needs and solve today’s ventilation challenges. Nuaire work with PAS Safe Solutions with the aim of delivering clean air, everywhere. Their first product was named after the founders, The Tack Brothers, which includes one of the first sales training ‘celebrity’ the UK had ever seen, Alfred Tack, who sold the ‘Tack 41’ fan, originally marketed to local shops. With the later invention of Positive Input Ventilation with the enduring Drimaster, through to the launch of Haven Ventilation, Nuaire has shaped the industry with ground-breaking products for decades. Linthwaite/Davant was established in 1989 when they started the business working out of a portacabin on a farm in rural Herefordshire selling pipe insulation into plumber’s merchants. In 2019 DAVANT celebrated 30 years and remains part of the Linthwaite Group. Within the group is GTi Direct, based in Dunoon, together they form part of the independently owned business called DAVANT.

They take pride in selling over 5,000 products, predominantly into the independent building and plumbing merchant sector. Many products in our range come from GTi including the Cosifloor Underfloor Insulation product and the most comprehensive draught-proofing products available. There’s many years of considerable experience at our disposal as a result of this key supplier relationship.
