PAS Safe Solutions have created a dedicated solution to deal with Technical Monitoring fails where Underfloor Insulation has been installed without sufficient cross-flow ventilation.
The ECO industry is well aware of the problems with UFI and ventilation and to date we have heard of thousands of potential fails with funding being withheld whilst these are being resolved.
Working with parties including BEIS/Ofgem/ATMA/Trustmark and others we have designed a unit which fulfils the requirements of PAS2030: 2019 and crucially Building Regulations: Approved Document Part C which covers the ventilation requirements in sub-floor ventilation situations.
This has now been approved for use in ECO and can be installed to overturn previous fails. Because we have created an end to end process for establishing that this unit has been installed properly, thus creating the crossflow ventilation required, this will be an acceptable solution to getting fails overturned. Therefore in most cases, prior fails will be overturned and the funding can be claimed before the end of ECO 3.
*Whilst every effort will be made on install for these fails to be overturned, we cannot take any responsibility and will issue no credits where the installation of the unit fails to achieve this. The processes we have created should provide a good chance of a fail being remediated (we will not be issuing a unique serial number to scenarios where we believe the fail cannot be overturned). It is your responsibility to ensure you provide the relevant information in a timely fashion to provide every opportunity for us to help make this happen. Installation of the MEV ECO must clearly demonstrate it has been installed properly, as designed, to create adequate crossflow ventilation and that the original Underfloor Insulation has not other technical reasons for failing further inspections.
